"'Welcome back', the city says." The city welcomes its lost son, asks after his well-being and appreciates the arrival. The visitor says that he's had better times, but he is still happy to be there, even though it won't be for ever.
This is how Chris And The Other Girls' new CD ›They Will Say I've Been Trying Too Hard‹ starts: Christian Pitschl is back with more stories about his idyllic hometown Bolzano/Italy and the very different current center of life, Vienna/Austria. In between those different cultures Pitschl tries to find his position, singing about changes, new responsabilities and circumstances.
Talking about music, Chris And The Other Girls have kept their very special way of making music, not caring about styles, always trying to make every song as good as possible, moving between indie rock, singer/songwriter and electronic elements with the honest singing of Pitschl that holds it all together.
After the success of their debut EP ›Let Go‹ (e.g. MTV Indias #5 of best records international), They Will Say I've Been Trying Too Hard is Chris And The Other Girls first full length with 15 new songs, a conglomerate of folk, pop, indie and electronic. "This is my heart. Not more and not less. Take it, if you want, but always handle it with care."
